DOSAGE:
Over 18 years: once daily dosing: 2 applications of 64mcg into each nostril each morning. Twice daily dosing: 1 application of 64mcg into each nostril morning and evening. If good effect is achieved, one application of 64mcg into each nostril each morning.
Under 18 years not to be used.

What causes symptoms of hay fever in the nose?

Symptoms of hay fever are caused by pollen which causes hay fever because the body thinks that the pollen is the threat to the body. The body then produces histamines which work to fight the pollen. As a result, the symptoms of hay fever appear, which includes nasal symptoms.

Who is this nasal spray suitable for?

Benacort should only be used by adults aged 18 and over. It should not be used by anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in the nasal spray. You should speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using if any of the following applies to you:

  • Have an infection in the nose or sinuses
  • Recently had a nose ulcer, nose surgery, or an injury that has not fully healed
  • Get frequent and/or heavy nose bleeds
  • Have tuberculosis, a chest infection, chicken pox, or measles, or have been in contact with someone who has
  • Have ever had glaucoma or cataracts
  • Have an eye infection
  • Are diabetic
  • Have liver problems
  • Taking any other form of corticosteroid medication
