Epaderm Ointment

Epaderm Ointment - for the management of eczema, psoriasis and other dry skin conditions.
Epaderm Ointment is a rich emollient formulated with clinically proven ingredients that deeply moisturise the skin. It has no fragrances, colourings or preservatives making it ideal for treating a wide range of skin conditions and is especially suitable for babies and children.
*SLS is an abbreviation for Sodium Lauryl Sulphate

How to use:

• Always wash your hands thoroughly before applying Epaderm Ointment, which can be used in three ways:
• Emollient: Apply to the skin as often as required.
• Skin Cleanser: Use as required when washing or in the shower.
• Bath additive: Melt a little Epaderm Ointment in a container of hot water and shake to mix thoroughly. Allow to cool and add to the bath but please be careful as this will make the bath surface slippery. After bathing, gently pat skin dry with a soft clean towel.

Application guide:

• Face, Ears, Neck: 1 measure twice a day
• Arms, Back: 2 measures twice a day
• Legs: 4 measures twice a day
• Anterior Trunk: 2 measures twice a day
• Hands: ½ measure twice a day
• Genitals: ½ measure twice a day
• Children under ten years of age require half the above amounts.
• 1 measure of Epaderm Cream = 1 pump from the 500g dispenser or 4 pumps from the 50g dispenser.
• 1 measure of Epaderm Ointment = approximately the size of a £2 coin or 1 heaped teaspoon.

Hazards and Cautions:

• Do not use if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients listed. If your condition worsens or you experience any undesirable effects, stop using Epaderm Ointment and discuss with your health care professional.
• For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Do not use if the seal is broken or after the expiry date. Keep away from naked flames.
• Store below 25°C. Replace lid after use. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Precautions:

• This is a medicine; Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist.
• Seek advice before using if you are breast feeding, pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or suffer from allergies.
• Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.

Liquid Paraffin Ph. Eur.; Cetomacrogol Emulsifying Wax BP (contains Cetostearyl Alcohol and Macrogol Cetostearyl Ether 22); Yellow Soft Paraffin BP.
