Corsodyl Spray Mint Flavour is effective in the treatment of many common dental conditions. The active ingredient is Chlorhexidine digluconate which is an antibacterial agent that reduces the fomation of dental plaque and is used to: 

  • Treat and prevent gum disease (gums may bleed when brushed)
  • Promote gum healing after dental surgery or treatment
  • Control mouth ulcers
  • Maintain mouth hygiene
  • Manage oral thrush and denture sore mouth

Corsodyl Spray Uses: 

Inhibition of the formation of dental plaque. As an aid in the treatment and prevention of gingivitis and in the maintenance of oral hygiene, particularly in situations where toothbrushing cannot be adequately employed (e.g. following oral surgery, in physically or mentally handicapped patients, the terminally ill or immuno-compromised patients). Also for use in post-periodontal surgery or treatment regimens to promote gingival healing. Useful in the management of aphthous ulceration and oral candidal infections (e.g. denture stomatitis and thrush).

Corsodyl Spray Ingredients: 

Chlorhexidine Digluconate 0.2% w/v

Corsodyl Spray Dosage: 

Adults: apply as required to the tooth and gingival surfaces, ulcers and other sore areas of the mouth, using up to a maximum of 12 actuations of the spray twice daily, morning and evening.

For gingivitis, use for one month. For ulcers and oral candidal infections use for 48 hours after infection has cleared.

Children: should only be used on the advice of a medical professional.
