Description

Piriton tablets are indicated for symptomatic control of all allergic conditions responsive to antihistamines, including hay fever, vasomotor rhinitis, urticaria, angioneurotic oedema, food allergy, drug and serum reactions, insect bites.

Also indicated for the symptomatic relief of itch associated with chickenpox.

Ingredients:

  • Each tablet contains Chlorphenamine Maleate 4 mg.
  • Other ingredients Lactose, maize starch, yellow iron oxide (E 172), magnesium stearate and water.

Warnings:

Please consult your pharmacist if:

  • You are allergic to any of the ingredients.
  • You have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) antidepressant treatment in the past 14 days.
  • You have epilepsy, glaucoma, an enlarged prostate, an overactive thyroid, very high blood pressure, heart, liver or chest disease.
  • You are taking drugs to treat anxiety or help you to sleep.
  • You are taking any medicine containing phenytoin for epilepsy.
